CFMoto Reveals New Working Sportbike Concept
CFMoto Concept |
Pictures and videos surfaced last week of a concept bike created by the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto. Details are limited, but sources from CFMotos global distribution network have been able to confirm a few items of note about the concept bike. I will share those and then engage in some speculation about what this concept might signal for future sportbike offerings.
What I (think) I
know:
CFMoto Concept Front Quarter View |
1. This bike is reported to be powered by a 400cc parallel or inline twin engine.
2. The concept bike is fitted with Ohlins suspension and project SC dual exhaust. The bike sounds fantastic...take a look and listen to the videos below.
3. The bodywork of this concept is clearly in line with the 250/300SR.
4. A production model based on this concept would likely retain the styling but lack the name-brand suspension and exhaust.
What does this mean?
1. We know that CFMoto is going to compete in moto3 with support from it's partner KTM. Could this concept be related to the CFMoto race team?

3. CFMoto clearly has its sights set on producing a middle-weight sportbike. The largest question in my mind is whether or not they will release a low-cost bike or something with specs that can rival Japanese and European middleweights like the Yamaha R7 and the Aprilia RS660?
What do you think about this bike? Do you like the stying?
